The Managing Director from Altus Group, Richard Booth, gave a quick overview of the company’s different distributors, the market development so far in 2017, and if Brexit will have any effect in the business community. The company has a variety of Korean and German manufacturers. Many of their suppliers were also present at the SMT show, including Koh Young and Rehm.
A large portion of their business is in the automotive industry, and Mr. Booth declared that there has been a lot of activity within this business. “Especially autonomous vehicles, these cars need a lot of sensors, cameras, radars just to avoid collisions. So that is a huge business in the electronics. It’s really giving us a good boost for the business.”
