The MPM Momentum Compact printer by Speedline Technologies is a faster, more precise Momentum-series printer that delivers cutting-edge performance in an unexpectedly small package. Designed to meet the challenges of finer pitch PCB applications, it is ideal for tight floor space requirements, and delivers the highest throughput for its footprint in the industry. At 30% smaller overall than the standard system, it can be configured for dual lane and back-to-back processing to fit more lines in a given footprint. It is designed to be an ideal solution for the smartphone, tablet, and automotive electronics manufacturers. The new printer delivers a wet print accuracy of 18µ@6s, Cpk>2 for superb fine feature printing performance. It can be equipped with the MPM EnclosedFlow print system, a patent-pending enclosed media solution offering significant process and cost advantages over metal squeegee blades, and will print fine features such as 01005s and 0.3mm pitch CSPs with up to 50% greater volume and 25% lower deviation than squeegee blades for higher quality and yields, and paste volumes over 50% for 150 micron apertures with a 0.35 area ratio.
The combined printer and EnclosedFlow can save more than 50% of materials (paste) vs. blades for ‘greener’ more sustainable manufacturing. Configured stand-alone or in-line, the Momentum Compact’s design is ideal for back-to-back processing, growing in popularity as the new optimal configuration for dual lane layouts. It also uses the SPI Print Optimizer, which communicates with the external SPI system to monitor and auto-correct X, Y, and U registration ‘on the fly’ to prevent print defects. Easier front access provides instant serviceability and ease of maintenance. The printer is equipped standard with RapidClean, MPM’s high speed stencil cleaning solution that improves stencil cleaning performance and reduces cycle time when using solvent, and can save up in wiper paper.
