Koh Young has been putting together building blocks for a smart factory. Its solutions for inspection and process optimization, when using the true 3D measurement, improves production technologies. During productronica in November, the company will highlight new machine and software innovations, which both drive production and process improvements.
The 8030–3 SPI and Zenith AOI platforms along with Ksmart process optimization software, which is powered by the Intelligent Platform, is part of a complete PCB assembly line. The SPI solution combines multi-projection moire technology with full 3D data-based process optimization and analytics to eliminate false calls and boost throughput. It is also complemented with the Zenith AOI solution – the first full 3D AOI solution. The hardware technology and measurement algorithms within the AOI system work together to identify defect sources and provide accurate inspection of components, joints, and more.
The Ksmart process optimizer (KPO) software combines real-time process monitoring with parameters like print speed, print pressure, and stencil separation speed. It optimizes the print process in real-time to boost process yields and enable connected Smart Factories. “Comprised of three interlinking software modules, it leads the next generation of closed-loop process control solutions by integrating adaptive learning powered by the Intelligent Platform,” commented Brent Fischthal Senior Manager, Americas Marketing.
