Paving the way for large-scale, high-speed battery array testing

All-in-one automated platform
Paving the way for large-scale, high-speed battery array testing

Acculogic Inc., a producer of electronic test solutions, announces that it will exhibit at the 2018 IPC Apex Expo. Company representatives will demonstrate the FLS980 Series III, Scorpion BRiZ Test & Programming station and comprehensive line of Boundary Scan Test tools.

This FLS980 Series III flying probe platform is a patented double-sided probing system. The advanced robotic capabilities of the tester deliver high accuracy, enhanced test precision, and improved test access. As a result, users can benefit from reliability and high-test coverage.

The Scorpion BRiZ is a unified automated test and validation platform that can consolidate any variety of circuit board test and programming application into a single, compact, low cost test station. The inline, scalable system features a reusable test fixture base, and can be engineered for any R&D or test requirement, including:

  • Analog
  • Digital (boundary scan /JTAG)
  • Power
  • Conformance testing of LTE/LTE-A, Bluetooth, WLAN and GPS

It is the ultimate test platform for cost-effective, optimized solutions engineered for real production environments.

Also, the company has developed a novel way to test the wire bonds in battery arrays using its robotic test platform. With a marked increase in demand for batteries on the horizon, such as for electric vehicles (EVs), mobile energy storage, solar power, and energy-efficient homes, the company is paving the way for large-scale, high-speed battery array testing.

The Boundary Scan Test tools line can be effectively used in the entire product life cycle, starting with design verification and validation, and continuing into pilot production and manufacturing. Use of these tools in field service and repair depots can help further reduce test cost and cycle time. Additionally, the ScanNavigator integrated boundary scan test environment offers a quick, easy and cost-effective way to perform boundary scan test using Teradyne’s Di-Series, family of C-size VXI digital test instruments.
